To access EatRight Analysis, you need to first register by clicking on the Register Pass Code button on the left tab and follow the instructions. Make sure that you have a valid email address, and the pass code that is printed on the access card that came with your textbook.
This pass code is for use by only one person and cannot be shared. Once you redeem this pass code, it will become inactive. Access to EatRight Analysis will expire 8 months after activating it.
If you do not have an access card with your text you can purchase access online with a credit card. To purchase, click on the Purchase Now button on the left tab and fill out the required information. Once you create your username and password you will have access to EatRight Analysis by clicking on the Log In button and entering your username and password.
Once you log-in, it is fast and easy to set up your personal account:
- Fill: Out your Profile. Start by filling out your personal information. Your reports will be based on this information, so make sure it’s accurate.
- Food Intakes: Next, keep track of the foods that you eat each day. You can record your food intake up to seven days. When searching for food choices take your time and choose the correct option. If you eat a meal at a popular restaurant, or food that is prepackaged, you can search by the name of the restaurant or brand of food. If you are searching for a dish that you made at home or ate at a local restaurant you may need to spend a little time looking for the right food options. If you cannot find a perfect match, you can always enter your own food choices in the customizable database! Always be aware of the quantity of food that you consume and enter the correct quantity; 3oz of potato chips is very different than 3lbs.
- Activities: You may also add in the activities that you do each day by searching for the specific activity and entering the amount of time that you participated in that activity.
- Reports: Once you have entered this information you can view, print, or e-mail the charts and graphs to your instructor by clicking on Reports.
- Analysis: Finally, you can take this information and analyze what foods you choose most often, determine where you need to add more nutrients, and adapt behaviors that will help you make healthier food and activity choices.
